Membership Categories
Architect Membership (AIA)

Open to licensed architects in the United States.

Benefits include access to professional development resources, continuing education, networking opportunities, and advocacy efforts at the state and national levels.
Associate Membership (Assoc. AIA)

Available to individuals who are on the path to licensure, including those who have recently graduated from an accredited architecture program or are working under a licensed architect.

Access to the same benefits as Architect members, with a focus on mentorship and career advancement.
New Graduate Membership

Exclusively for recent graduates of accredited architecture programs (within the past 18 months).

Free or significantly reduced dues for the first year. This category provides all the benefits of Associate Membership, offering a smooth transition from student to professional life.
Emeritus Membership

For AIA members who have been in good standing for 15 consecutive years and are at least 70 years of age or fully retired.

Reduced or waived dues, while retaining access to AIA resources and opportunities to stay connected with the community.
Allied + Affiliate Professional Membership

Designed for professionals in related industries
(engineers, planners, product manufacturers, etc.)
who support or collaborate with architects.

Student Membership (AIAS)
