Join us for a day of camaraderie, competition, and support for AIA West Virginia’s programs at the 2025 Annual Golf Classic! This fall tradition brings together members, partners, and friends for a fun-filled scramble at Little Creek Golf Course in Charleston.

November 3, 2025 – AIA WV Chapter Meeting & Mayfield Lecture at Fairmont State University

Join AIA West Virginia at Fairmont State University for a full day of professional programming, networking, and the annual Mayfield Lecture. This year’s event brings together members, students, and leaders in the profession to reflect on the past, engage with present challenges, and look ahead to the future of architecture in West Virginia.
The day will begin with the AIA WV Chapter Meeting and AIAS Updates, followed by a panel discussion with Bill Yoke, Edward Tucker, and Victor Greco exploring how lessons from past practice inform today’s architectural decisions. Jason Pizatella of the Contractors Association of West Virginia will provide timely updates on construction industry trends and policy issues, and Terry Hollandsworth of ASHRAE will deliver a technical session on new standards for indoor air quality and occupant health.
The program concludes with the Mayfield Lecture, delivered by Matthew Plecity, AIA, ASLA, Principal at GBBN Architects. His lecture, Circumstances of Place, will examine how environmental, cultural, and contextual factors shape design decisions that promote resilience, inclusivity, and long-term well-being.
A reception will follow the lecture, offering opportunities for fellowship and networking.
A total of 1.25 LU/3 HSW will be offered

AIA West Virginia is introducing a new structure for Procrastinators Day 2025, and our Allied Members are front and center.
ALLIED PROFESSIONAL MEMBER SHOWCASE
We’re offering a new way for you to highlight your products, services, and solutions directly to our architectural community.
• Format - Tabletop display during CEU sessions and networking breaks, lunch
• Location - Main event space at WVSU Center, 107 Capitol St., Charleston
• Equipment Provided - 6-ft table, two chairs, catered lunch
• Cost - $250
• Availability - Limited
• Exclusivity - Reserved for Allied Members until October 1st
This is a high-visibility opportunity to engage with attendees throughout the day—and continue conversations at the AIA WV Holiday Reception from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

Saturday, April 18, 2026 - AIA WV Design Awards Gala & Scholarship Benefit
Hotel Morgan, 127 High Street, Morgantown, WV 26505
We’ll begin with cocktails in the hotel’s traditional ballroom, then move upstairs to the brand-new top-floor event space overlooking the Morgantown skyline for a plated dinner celebrating design excellence and supporting student scholarships. Group rates will be available for those staying overnight.
