Join the Fire Marshals Association of West Virginia for its 2026 Fall Conference, September 23–24 at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg. The two-day conference will offer expert-led education, practical resources, networking, lunch and an evening social on September 23.

AIA West Virginia members may earn a total of 8 HSW credits through four sessions: NFPA 241 requirements for construction, alteration and demolition sites; critical medical gas, vacuum and electrical systems under NFPA 99; fire protection and life-safety requirements for educational occupancies; and NFPA 1/101 occupancy classifications.
Registration is $200 per attendee, and a conference hotel rate of $119 per night is available

Tickets Now Available! Join AIA West Virginia for the annual AIA WV Golf Classic at Edgewood Country Club. The outing brings together architects, engineers, contractors, allied professionals, and industry partners for a day of golf, friendly competition, and conversation outside the office.
Registration includes breakfast, 18 holes of golf, on-course activities, beverages, lunch, and awards. Golfers may register individually or as a foursome. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for organizations that would like to connect with members of West Virginia’s architecture and construction community.

Mayfield Lecture / Fairmont Chapter Meeting

Join AIA West Virginia and Fairmont State University for the 2026 Jeffery Mayfield Lecture featuring Susan Desko, AIA. The lecture will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by a reception.
Susan Desko is an architect whose regionally grounded practice brings together architecture, interior design, landscape design, and planning. Based in Sun Valley, Idaho, she is known for work that responds closely to place, materials, and community. Desko earned her Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and has worked with several prominent practices, including Frank Gehry & Associates. Learn more about Susan Desko.
